Support for International Piping Plover Survey in Saskatchewan

In 1991, ELSA began its support for the conservation of the Piping Plover in western Canada by supporting survey efforts in Saskatchewan. In that year 1950 ? adults were found in Canada, with most occurring in the prairie provinces. In 2001, ELSA will again support a survey which will assess the progress of the conservation effort since 1991.
